Welcome to Kind Usefulness, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and your participation in our services, including death doula work, companion services, liberation services, personal assistant support, and 1:1 life coaching (“Services”). By using our website or booking Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of our site and services.

1. Age Requirement (Strict Policy)

All clients must be 18 years of age or older.
We do not provide Services to anyone under 18 for any reason, even with parental or guardian consent.
If we discover that a client is under 18, all Services will be terminated immediately.

2. Nature and Scope of Services

Kind Usefulness, LLC provides non-medical, non-clinical, non-therapeutic services designed to offer emotional support, education, companionship, practical assistance, and personal growth guidance.

Important Clarifications:

  • We do not provide sexual services or sex work.

  • We do not engage in erotic labor, physical sexual contact, sexual touching, or any form of physical intimacy.

  • “Sexual liberation services” refers strictly to conversation-based, educational, coaching, or empowerment-oriented dialogue, not sexual acts or physical services of any kind.

We also do not provide:

  • Medical care or medical advice

  • Mental health diagnosis or treatment

  • Legal, financial, or tax advice

  • Counseling or psychotherapy

Our work is supportive, relational, and educational—not clinical.

3. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Be legally able to enter a contract

  • Be the intended recipient of the Services (unless arranging care for an adult with legal permission)

If you are booking Services on behalf of another adult, you must have clear authorization to do so.

4. Scheduling, Cancellations & Rescheduling

7. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Understand the emotional and non-medical nature of our work

  • Seek emergency or medical help when appropriate

Any request for sexual services or sexually explicit conduct will result in immediate termination of the professional relationship.

8. Limitations of Services

You understand that:

  • We do not participate in sexual contact of any kind

  • We do not guarantee any specific outcome or emotional result

  • We do not provide medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic services

9. Boundaries & Safety

To maintain a safe, ethical, and professional environment:

  • We reserve the right to end Services immediately if boundaries are crossed, including inappropriate or sexualized communication

  • We may decline or discontinue Services if safety, comfort, or appropriateness becomes compromised

10. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Prepaid sessions may be refundable at our discretion if canceled more than 24 hours in advance

We do not guarantee:

  • Specific results or outcomes

  • Availability of certain appointment times

  • That our website will be error-free or uninterrupted

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for:

  • Emotional, physical, or financial outcomes resulting from your decisions

  • Any indirect or consequential damages

14. Limitation of Liability

At Kind Usefulness, LLC, we aim to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all clients. By engaging in our Services, you agree to the following Client Code of Conduct.

1. Age Requirement

  • I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older.

  • I understand that no services are offered to anyone under 18.

2. Respectful Communication

I will:

  • Communicate respectfully and honestly

  • Speak to the doula/coach/staff without abusive, threatening, or harassing language

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries during written, verbal, and in-person interactions

3. No Requests for Sexual Services

I understand and agree that:

  • Kind Usefulness, LLC does NOT provide sexual services, erotic labor, or any form of sexual contact

  • “Sexual liberation” support refers only to conversation, education, empowerment, and coaching, never physical or erotic acts

  • Any requests, suggestions, or pressure for sexual contact will result in immediate termination of services without refund

4. Appropriate Physical Boundaries

I will:

  • Respect the doula’s personal space and comfort

  • Ask before initiating any physical contact (e.g., a supportive hug)

  • Accept that the doula may decline physical touch for any reason

5. Honesty About Needs & Limitations

I agree to:

  • Provide accurate information related to my needs, health conditions (if relevant), or safety concerns

  • Inform the doula if I experience distress, discomfort, or need to pause services

6. No Medical or Legal Substitution

I acknowledge:

  • The doula/coach is not a medical provider, mental health clinician, lawyer, or financial advisor

  • I am responsible for seeking appropriate professional help when needed

  • In emergencies, I will contact 911 or appropriate services

7. Safety & Environment

I agree to:

  • Provide a reasonably safe, clean, and respectful environment for in-person sessions

  • Disclose safety risks (e.g., aggressive pets, unsafe home conditions) beforehand

  • Not attend sessions under heavy intoxication from alcohol or drugs

8. Payment & Scheduling

I agree to:

  • Follow the cancellation policy

  • Pay for services at the agreed rate

  • Understand that excessive cancellations or non-compliance may result in services being discontinued

9. Termination of Services

I understand that services may be terminated immediately if:

  • I violate boundaries

  • I request or initiate sexual contact

  • I behave aggressively, disrespectfully, or inappropriately

  • I fail to follow safety expectations

If services are terminated, Kind Usefulness, LLC may offer referrals when appropriate.

DOULA CODE OF CONDUCT

This Doula Code of Conduct outlines the ethical commitments, boundaries, and practices upheld by Kind Usefulness, LLC in all services, including death doula support, companion work, liberation services, personal assistance, and 1:1 coaching.

1. Commitment to Non-Medical, Non-Clinical Support

As a doula and support professional, I:

  • Provide emotional, educational, logistical, and compassionate support

  • Do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or offer medical advice

  • Encourage clients to seek licensed medical or mental health professionals when needed

2. No Sexual Services or Erotic Contact

I uphold a clear and uncompromising boundary:

  • I do not provide sexual services, sex work, erotic touch, or sexualized experiences

  • Sexual liberation work is conversation-based only, focused on empowerment, healing, and autonomy

  • Any sexual request from clients will result in service termination

3. Professional Boundaries

I will:

  • Maintain appropriate emotional, physical, and relational boundaries

  • Avoid dual relationships that could impair professionalism

  • Decline physical touch when needed for safety or comfort

  • Refrain from exploitation, manipulation, or undue influence

4. Respect, Dignity & Inclusivity

I commit to:

  • Treating every client with respect and humanity

  • Upholding a non-judgmental environment

  • Supporting clients across identities, bodies, cultures, ability levels, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and belief systems

5. Confidentiality & Privacy

I will:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality

  • Protect client stories, information, and experiences

  • Disclose only when legally required (e.g., risk of harm, abuse, court orders)

  • Follow the Privacy Policy of Kind Usefulness, LLC

6. Trauma-Informed Practice

I commit to:

  • Using compassionate, consent-oriented practices

  • Checking in about comfort levels

  • Offering clients choice, autonomy, and the ability to pause or stop at any time

7. Safety Practices

I will:

  • Prioritize the physical and emotional safety of clients

  • Withdraw from unsafe or inappropriate environments

  • Uphold safe working conditions for both client and doula

  • Maintain professional boundaries regarding substances, environments, and risk

8. Transparency & Honest Communication

I will:

  • Clearly describe what my services do and do not include

  • Set expectations around scheduling, payment, boundaries, and scope

  • Communicate openly when something is beyond my ability or role

9. Competence & Continuing Growth

I commit to:

  • Working within the limits of my training and expertise

  • Seeking continuing education and community support

  • Referring out when a client’s needs exceed my scope or specialty

10. Ethical Right to Decline or Discontinue Services

I reserve the right to decline or discontinue services if:

  • A client violates boundaries

  • Safety concerns arise

  • The relationship becomes inappropriate or harmful

  • My scope of practice cannot meet the client’s needs

Whenever possible, I will offer referrals or resources.

Sexual Conduct & Touch Boundary Policy

SEXUAL CONDUCT & TOUCH BOUNDARY POLICY

This Sexual Conduct & Touch Boundary Policy outlines the ethical, professional, and safety standards for all services provided by Kind Usefulness, LLC, including death doula support, companion care, liberation work, personal assistance, and 1:1 life coaching.

1. Zero-Tolerance for Sexual Services

Kind Usefulness, LLC maintains a strict and non-negotiable policy:

We do not offer or engage in:

  • Sexual services

  • Erotic labor

  • Sexualized acts or experiences

  • Genital, erotic, or intimate massage

  • Sexual touching or physical intimacy

  • Role-play or fantasy-based sexual scenarios

  • Sexting or the exchange of sexual images

  • Suggestive, explicit, or erotic conversation initiated for arousal

Any request for sexual services will result in:

  • Immediate termination of the session

  • Cancellation of all future services

  • No refund of fees already paid

2. Clarification of “Sexual Liberation Services”

We offer conversation-based sexual liberation support that may include:

  • Education

  • Empowerment work

  • Shame reduction

  • Advocacy

  • Self-understanding and embodiment

  • Consent and communication coaching

It does not include physical touch, nudity, demonstrations, or sexual activity.

This work is verbal, reflective, and supportive only.

3. Physical Touch Policy

Because doula and supportive work can sometimes involve grounding or comforting presence, the following touch guidelines apply:

Touch May Include (If Consent Is Given):

  • Hand-holding

  • A one-arm or two-arm supportive hug

  • Light shoulder touch

  • Non-intimate physical assistance (e.g., helping a client to stand)

  • Comfort-based presence during end-of-life care

All touch must be:

  • Explicitly consented to beforehand

  • Client-led or doula-offered, not assumed

  • Reversible at any time (“no” or “stop” means stop immediately)

  • Non-invasive and non-intimate

Touch Never Includes:

  • Any touch near or on the breasts, buttocks, genitals, groin, or inner thighs

  • Touch with erotic or intimate intention

  • Full-body contact

  • Massage that could be interpreted as sensual

  • Holding or touching a client in private spaces without a clear, non-intimate purpose

  • Touch while a client is nude or semi-nude

  • Touch intended for arousal or physical stimulation

4. Conversation Boundaries

The following are always prohibited:

  • Requests for sexual details for voyeuristic, erotic, or inappropriate curiosity

  • Sexualized comments about the doula

  • Flirtation, propositioning, or sexual advances toward the doula

  • Sexual jokes that create discomfort or violate professional boundaries

5. Session Environment Boundaries

Clients must agree to:

  • Wear appropriate clothing during sessions (no nudity)

  • Avoid using the space for sexualized expression

  • Ensure other individuals in the environment follow the same standards

6. Safety & Reporting

If sexual misconduct occurs:

  • Services end immediately

  • Documentation may be created for safety/legal purposes

  • Referrals may not be provided

  • Police or safety agencies may be contacted if the situation warrants

7. Doula Responsibilities

Kind Usefulness, LLC pledges to:

  • Never initiate sexual contact

  • Never accept sexualized invitations or requests

  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times

  • Protect client dignity and bodily autonomy

  • Model consent, clarity, and non-judgmental presence

Client Safety Plan & Crisis Protocol

CLIENT SAFETY PLAN & CRISIS PROTOCOL

This Safety Plan outlines how Kind Usefulness, LLC ensures a physically, emotionally, and ethically safe environment during all services.

It also clarifies the steps we take when clients disclose distress, crisis, or unsafe circumstances.

1. Purpose of the Safety Plan

This Safety Plan ensures:

  • Physical safety

  • Emotional and psychological safety

  • Clear expectations around crisis situations

  • Supportive but non-clinical response boundaries

  • Transparency in what the doula can and cannot provide

2. Non-Clinical Role

Kind Usefulness, LLC is not a medical care provider, therapist, or crisis-response agency.
We offer:

  • Companionship

  • Advocacy

  • Emotional support

  • End-of-life presence

  • Coaching

  • Grounding techniques

We do not:

  • Conduct mental health assessments

  • Provide psychiatric care

  • Intervene in emergencies

  • Make medical decisions

  • Provide crisis stabilization

3. Client Safety Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Be honest about physical and emotional needs

  • Disclose safety risks (e.g., domestic violence concerns, self-harm feelings) when comfortable

  • Maintain a safe environment for sessions

  • Identify support people who can be contacted in emergencies

  • Seek emergency help when needed

4. Doula Safety Responsibilities

Kind Usefulness, LLC will:

  • Maintain situational awareness

  • Refuse unsafe working conditions

  • Leave a session if safety becomes compromised

  • Document safety risks appropriately

  • Offer referrals as needed

  • Follow mandatory reporting laws (when applicable)

5. Crisis & Emergency Protocol

If a client expresses immediate danger:

Examples:

  • Medical emergency

  • Suicidal intent with a plan

  • Threat of harm to others

  • Severe physical injury

The doula will:

  1. Stay calm and grounded

  2. Encourage the client to contact emergency services (911)

  3. If the client cannot/will not call, the doula may call 911 if safety demands intervention

  4. Provide presence until emergency professionals arrive (if in person and safe to do so)

The doula will NOT:

  • Provide clinical crisis intervention

  • Physically restrain a client

  • Replace emergency services

  • Transport a client in personal vehicles

If a client is in emotional crisis but not in immediate danger:

Examples:

  • Dissociation

  • Overwhelm

  • Intense grief

  • Panic

  • Fear or confusion

  • Emotional flashbacks

The doula may:

  • Offer grounding exercises (breathing, sensory orientation, pause breaks)

  • Provide supportive conversation

  • Encourage coping strategies

  • Help identify support networks

  • Suggest follow-up with a therapist or clinician

The doula will NOT:

  • Conduct therapy

  • Diagnose or treat mental health conditions

6. In-Person Session Safety

Clients agree to:

  • Provide a safe and respectful environment

  • Disclose hazards (e.g., dangerous pets, unsafe buildings)

  • Keep substances and weapons safely stored

  • Maintain appropriate clothing and behavior

The doula may:

  • End a session early if the environment is unsafe

  • Request sessions occur in neutral or public spaces when needed

7. Substance Use

Clients must not:

  • Attend sessions under heavy intoxication

  • Request support for illegal substance use

  • Engage in unsafe behavior during sessions

If intoxication creates risk, the session will end.

8. End-of-Life and Vulnerable Situations

For clients receiving death doula support:

  • The doula will be present within agreed-upon limits

  • The doula will support caregivers and family as appropriate

  • The doula will maintain calm, respectful, grounded presence

  • The doula will call for additional help (not medical diagnosis) when needed

9. Documentation

If a safety risk occurs, the doula may:

  • Take brief, confidential notes

  • Document only essential safety-related facts

  • Store notes securely

10. Termination of Services for Safety Reasons

Kind Usefulness, LLC may discontinue services if:

  • Safety is compromised

  • Boundaries are violated

  • A client repeatedly engages in harmful behaviors

  • The workload becomes unethical or beyond scope

Referrals may be offered when appropriate.

11. Acknowledgement

By engaging in any Service with Kind Usefulness, LLC, the client acknowledges and accepts this Safety Plan and understands its intent and limitations.
